Shattered Grey.

We hardly admit that we are prone to wander from the Lord we so love.
We hardly ever acknowledge that we are children of weakness who need to watch and pray finding in God, our all in all.

It is like conscience slips from us and it is okay to beat ourselves on the chest as mighty warriors full of valor, calling unto the Lord when it suits us best and acknowledging Him on a social media post sandwiched between lust and more lust.

How is it that we choose to sit on the fence with all its shattered grey?
How is it that we believe and still feel free to offend by our Flesh the Spirit within?

It has been time to get off the fence for a long time now. Yet here we are claiming to know God but by our actions, deny Him.

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of My mouth.” (Revelations 3:15-16).

Romans 7:19, NLT: “I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway.” Weakness is part of the human being, we all are weak one way or the other, but most of us won’t admit it publicly, today’s society shuns weakness ! And yet I think admitting our weakness to the Lord and continually asking Him help about it is a sign of maturity as Christians. Just because weakness is part of who I am doesn’t mean I have to be a slave to weakness all the days of my life. God is stronger than said weakness and thru his Holy Spirit I can overcome all these temptations lurking on every corner. Yes it’s so much easier to do as the world does, yes it’s so much easier to blend in so they won’t point fingers at us, but we are called to be different, to stand out, and living on the fence -with all its shattered grey- is not how we show our difference.
